Full-time Qualifications • Driver's License (Required) • High school or equivalent (Preferred) • Familiar with Komatsu and CAT equipment (Preferred but not Required) • Must use own tools Full Job Description Construction business is looking for a skilled Mechanic to perform a wide variety of maintenance, welding and repair work. Mechanic will be responsible for maintenance of field equipment, trucks and vehicles. Mechanic will be responsible for the daily management (including shop safety) of the repair shop. Responsibilities • Build and assemble machines or mechanical components according to requirements • Inspect equipment, engines, transmissions etc. and run diagnostic tests to discover functionality issues • Conduct repairs aiming for maximum reliability • Troubleshoot reported problems and resolve them in a timely manner • Perform thorough maintenance on equipment and systems • Replenish fluids and components of engines and machinery • Provide consultation on correct maintenance and preventative measures to management, equipment operators and drivers • Undertake other duties as assigned (e.g. repair of hydraulic systems, painting vehicles etc.) Skills • 10 years proven experience as a Mechanic • Excellent knowledge of machinery and hydraulic, electrical and other systems and their components • Aptitude in using various hand tools and precision measurement tools • Ability to follow established procedures and practices and read instruction/repair manuals, etc. • A strong commitment to all health and safety guidelines • Very good communication skills • A problem-solving ability • High school diploma is preferred; Certification from a vocational school or completion of apprenticeship is a definite plus Benefits: • 401(k) matching • Health insurance Schedule: • Monday through Friday with possibility to work on Saturdays • 40 – 50 hours per week This Job Is Ideal for Someone Who Is: • Dependable -- more reliable than spontaneous • Adaptable/flexible -- enjoys doing work that requires frequent shifts in direction • Achievement-oriented -- enjoys taking on challenges, even if they might fail Benefit Conditions: • Waiting period may apply • Only full-time employees eligible Work Remotely: • No
