Work outside Very Part Time to start

Jobs

Lockbourne Rd near Frebis, Columbus OH

Description

Hello, I'm interested in hiring a reliable person who is capable of working independently to help with maintenance of an urban farm. Its a really special place and the people involved with it are kind, concerned, and energized about good health of humans, but particularly our local ones, and the planet, but particularly our little piece of it in central Ohio. Veganism is rampant among the ranks, as is tolerance, good attitudes, and good work ethic, but also pretty laid back folks. Most enjoy being in and prospering in our bubble. Tasks include; mowing, trimming, weeding, grounds clean up, fence maintenance, tree and brush cutting and stacking firewood, drip irrigation maintenance, processing compost, attention to matters concerning garden plants and fruit trees. Its a lot of moving and spreading with a hoe, shovel, pitchfork kind of work. Some hand pulling weeds. There are a couple of small machines that can help. All harvests are by hand. To start, I am requiring a very part time commitment of 3 hours per day, 3 days per 7 day week. I can pay $500 per month. The three hour slots CANNOT be completed in back to back days. The tasks can be completed often at the time of your convenience in the daylight hours, with occasional commitments to certain windows of time. I can offer other opportunities of employment, pay, and possibly housing based on skills set, particularly in the building trades and horticulture experience. After two weeks, after a fair assessment of the what the work entails, and a nice taste of how we roll down at the farm, if we have mutual feelings about continuing to engage, we can discuss future shared paths. The Farm is located in the near south east side of Columbus, not far from the intersection of Frebis and Lockbourne Road. Its near the COTA bus line. Please contact me with interest. My name is Brian. email or text only
