Home Grown Host Homes is recruiting volunteer Hosts. Hosts are community members in Humboldt County, who are willing to open their homes and their hearts and “host” a transition aged youth (ages 18-24) experiencing homelessness (for 3-12 months). Hosts provide youth with housing, stability, and mentorship, while staff work with them towards achieving their goals related to independent living. Together we can help these youth break out of the cycle of homelessness! Hosts who need it, can receive a voluntary monthly stipend to help defray the increased costs of utilities and food.
