MacNair's Country Acres is a Hunter/Jumper Horse Farm facility located on 150 acres in Raleigh. We are in search of both FULL time and PART time stablehands to assist us in providing care of our horses in two 50 stall barns. Applicant must be: 18 years or older Have own transportation Be able to lift 50 lbs Experience working with horses is PREFERED but not required Ability to drive tractors is PREFERED but not required Duties/Responsibilities: Provide a safe environment for the horses and clients of MacNair’s by making horse care a top priority Responsible for daily feed, hay, and turnout to include blanketing in colder weather Clean stalls and change shavings for two 50 stall barns Clean water troughs and buckets and keep barn clean and tidy Communicate any horse health issues to the Head Trainer or Herd Health Manager Pay is starting at $15/hour. A full day shift is 7:00am to 4:30pm with a 1-hour lunch break, a half day shift is 7:00am-12:00pm. This position does NOT involve any riding, training, grooming, or instructing.
