Our client is currently seeking to hire multiple Geotechnical Field Technicians for their projects in the Laurel, MD area. These openings are entry level-a few years of experience level depending on desired pay rate. Please see details below and if interested you can apply by sending a copy of your resume to [email protected] Job Details Title: Geotechnical Engineering Technician Rate: -$13.50/hr for individuals with no experience and highschool education -$15.00/hr for individuals with some related experience (no degree required) Shift: Day Shift usually Monday to Friday Requirements: Some field/construction/labor experience is a plus. Drivers license required and must be able to pass a drug and background check. Responsibilities • Observe and document construction activities to assure compliance with technical specifications • Monitor and test the moisture and density of soils using a nuclear density testing gauge • Testing of concrete for slump, air content and unit weight • Testing of asphalt for temperature and compaction • Assist laboratory and drilling personnel as requested • Use civil drawings, project specifications and geotechnical reports effectively • Complete daily reports, testing documents, timesheets and expense reports completely and in a timely manner • Handle and maintain company assigned equipment
