Sun City Texas is an active adult community located in Georgetown, Texas. The community offers extensive amenities to its 14,000+ residents including three golf courses, two fitness centers, eight pools and spas, tennis, nature trails, bocce and much more! In addition to amenities offered by the Community Association, residents can choose from more than 50 clubs and interest groups such as; hunting and fishing, photography, woodworking and gardening. We are currently seeking a full-time HVAC Service technician. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: • Performs and coordinates all general maintenance of the facility, including plumbing, HVAC, carpentry, electrical, and painting. • Establishes and maintains a preventative and regular maintenance schedule for equipment and tools. • Orders maintenance supplies hardware and equipment including, but not limited to tools, light bulbs, filters and replacement materials. Qualifications for this position include: • Certified in HVAC with a minimum of 3 years of service experience, strong electrical skills, plumbing, carpentry, etc. • Excellent interpersonal skills and communication skills required. • Certified pool operator or the ability to obtain the CPO certification. PHYSICAL REQUIRMENTS: • Must be physically and intellectually capable of operating a personal computer, printer, calculator, telephone and various other standard business equipment. • Drive a car and possess a valid driver's license. • Capable of working extended hours, to include weekends and holidays as necessary. • Able to see well enough to read faint or partially obscured writing or printing, with corrective lenses if needed. • Must be able to read and speak English in a clear and understandable voice so that various types of communications may be conducted with people of various levels of education and capabilities. • Position involves sitting, standing, and/or movement. Position requires ability to exert minimal force of up to 20 pounds, and occasionally exert up to 80 pounds of force to carry, lift, push, pull or otherwise move objects. Must be able transport oneself not only around the office, but also around the Association and Sun City facilities. • Must be physically capable of using various ladders (step, extension, etc.) • Bilingual is a plus.
