Lorax Tree Care is a family owned and operated business looking for an experienced Arborist. Lorax Tree Care is passionate about proper tree care. We specialize in tree preservation and the long-term health of trees and their surroundings. We are also well versed in technical tree removals, pruning and maintenance of all types of trees. We are looking for a person who has a love of trees and is interested in a long term position with advancement. Hours Full time or Seasonal Flexible with school schedules Requirements A love of trees and their care Insurable driver (CDL *NOT* required) Appreciate a culture of safety & education Teamwork mindset Strong work ethic Professional demeanor Positive attitude Reliable transportation to shop Drug-free workplace Knowledge of landscaping and maintenance of trees and woody plants preferred ISA Certified Arborist License or plan to become certified preferred Additional requirements for climbers 2+ years experience as a climbing arborist Experience using professional climbing gear, tree climbing techniques, various rigging practices, tree felling, and proper use of chainsaws Will be removing trees over houses, fences, garages, and have proper tree thinning and pruning experience, and techniques What we offer Those with no experience will start at $15.00 an hour. Those with experience will have pay based on their experience. Both experienced and non experienced new-hires will be evaluated after 30 days for a pay increase. We value our employees and will have opportunities throughout the year for pay increases. After three months of work we will provide work boots and pants. Members of the crew would be provided with access to climbing gear. Our team is committed to continuing education and training for every employee to provide quality tree care and highly skilled craftsmanship. We will pay for continual education classes and certifications to become an ISA Certified Arborist.
