Last Mile Telecom, a leading telecommunication contracting company headquartered in Philadelphia, Pa., is currently seeking independent contractors in the Philadelphia and surrounding areas. As a leading telecommunications force in the region, our company is responsible for projects such as Aerial/underground construction, OSP builds, Fiber splicing, Cell tower builds/repair, and residential cable installation. We are currently in need of cable TV technicians in the Comcast network. We are willing to train you on the specific scope of work that is required form our customer. We are looking for candidates who like to work with their hands, have a strong desire to succeed and can deliver a quality customer experience. Cable or satellite installation experience is preferred for our cable tech position. This is a 1099 contracting position, meaning you will be self-employed. As the owner of your business, you will hold a contract with us. We will supply you with work and any materials needed to complete the jobs. We will pay you the gross amount of the job. We will not be responsible for your taxes or any other wage garnishments. Taxes and garnishments are the sole responsibility of you, the business owner. Requirements to become a Cable TV Technician:  Pass a background check and drug test.  Own or be able to obtain a work ready truck, van, or SUV.  Valid driver’s license  Lifting up to 80 lbs. at a full range of motion  Ability to climb a ladder, not afraid of heights or confined spaces like a crawlspace or attic  Follow proper safety procedures at all times.  Be willing to work outdoors in inclement weather. ***We have truck options for experienced partners. *** This is a 1099 contracting position- competitive pay, piece work (paid weekly). Our current partners make between $800-$1800+ a week. You have complete control of your schedule, the more you work, the more you make. Job Description for a Cable TV Technician: As a Cable TV Technician, you will be installing cable boxes, internet modems, IP phone systems and any supporting equipment. Daily skills that are required to efficiently do the job:  Be able to maintain professional contact with customers.  Pinpoint issues with customer’s services and repair any issue before leaving the residence.  Maintain communication with a supervisor and dispatch involving trouble shooting, error completes and time management.  Maintain work truck appearance, organize truck to limit loss of equipment and tools.  Come to work dressed in the uniform required by our customer (Comcast)  Close and code all jobs properly to ensure correct payment. ***SIGN ON BONUS AVAILABLE FOR CANDIDATES. ***
