We are seeking a bright and motivated Quality Control Technician to work full-time on-site. Our Quality Control Technicians efficiently test wireless handheld equipment according to established procedures and guidelines developed by Firefly. This process allows the Technician to determine the condition and functionality of used wireless equipment purchased by Firefly with the express purpose of selling these units to eCommerce and wholesale clients. Typical Functions and Duties: • Accurately test and troubleshoot wireless handheld equipment to industry standards • Be able to document test results into company data system and display accuracy and neatness • Use good judgment when determining the overall condition of a handheld device • Be familiar with tools and equipment used in department on a daily basis • Use good phone skills when verifying carrier phone status • Follow department security procedures when handling wireless handheld information • Use carrier website for downloading required handheld software and troubleshooting instructions Requirements: • Bilingual in English/Spanish is a plus however not required • Prior experience is not required for - Will train a good candidate for this position • Basic reading, writing, and arithmetic skills required • Basic computer skills are required • Effective communication with peers is a must • Previous experience in testing cellular phones is a plus however not a requirement • High school graduate and vocational school diploma or equivalent preferred
