General Office, Receptionists, Greeters, Cashiers, Maintenance, Custodial, Food Service and more!
AARP Foundation SCSEP matches eligible older job seekers with local nonprofits and public agencies (host agencies) to increase their skills and build self-confidence, while earning a modest income. The goal of the program is to place participants into permanent employment. Participants train an average of 20 hours per week and are paid minimum wage. The training serves as a bridge to unsubsidized employment opportunities for participants. Some remote training opportunities are also available.
We are looking for unemployed people who meet the following non-negotiable criteria:
MUST be a Pinellas County Resident
MUST be 55 + or Older
MUST be financially limited (Low to NO Income)
MUST be UNEMPLOYED AND LOOKING FOR WORK
This is a federal grant program and the compensation is minimum wage at $8.65/hr @ 18-20 hours per week. Interested applicants must call the Pinellas SCSEP office at (727) 547-0534 and ask to speak to an EMPLOYMENT SPECIALIST, to make an appointment. No walk-ins.
