Midwest Converting is a service company engaged in the conversion of paper and board products to different sizes for paper mills, merchants and printers. Our manufacturing operation consists of Slitter, Sheeters, Trimmers, Balers, and Lift Trucks. Our core business and value in the market place, is to inventory/warehouse paper & board products, provide effective converting programs, and serve as the distribution channel between the Paper Mill and Merchant/End User. We are seeking to hire a Roll Clamp Truck Operator with at least TWO YEARS PREVIOUS EXPERIENCE. Opening is for 1st shift 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM and 2nd shift 3:00 PM to 11:00 PM Monday thru Friday. Only applicants with experience in Roll Clamp operating will be considered. You must show on your resume ACTUAL EXPERIENCE WITH CLAMP and COMPANY you worked for as a Clamp Truck Operator. *****RESUME MUST BE SUBMITTED IF YOU ARE INTERESTED IN APPLYING********* READ THE FULL JOB DESCRIPTION Forklift experience does not count. You must have CLAMP TRUCK OPERATOR experience Applicant will need to have steel toe shoes. Hearing and Eye glass protection will be provided and also be worn. This is a fast paced production environment and candidate will be required to keep up with the pace as well as have great attendance record. Must have own transportation. Basic Function Employee will move paper rolls full time around the various departments for processing. Employee will be expected to utilize Clamp Truck to Load and Unload Trucks, Load and Unload Box Cars, Stack 8,000 pound rolls 20 feet high, transfer rolls from warehouse to machines, and stack finished rolls in staging. Primary Duties Load and unload trucks and Boxcars Pull from Warehouse to machines General Warehousing Pick up product from floor and stage Put rolls on pallets when necessary Help band rolls on pallets Clean & Sweep dock and staging areas Secondary Duties Secondary duties are to be done when the Primary Duties are done.
