Job Summary: Responsible for preparing walls and other surfaces for painting by using sandpaper, scarping and removing old paint. They cover fixtures and fill cracks and holes with the appropriate materials. Painters blend paint and other materials to achieve the right colors in order to paint surfaces. Essential Job Functions: -Paints the interiors of homes, apartments, townhomes and other family dwellings. -Work with other construction workers such as carpenters, electricians and plumbers. -Protect nearby furnishings and other materials before every painting job. Education and Experience: -High School Diploma or equivalent -No prior experience necessary -A willingness to learn -Reliable transportation and clean driving record -Ability to complete projects on-time -Excellent communication skills
