Have you thought about redoing your kitchen or bathroom cabinets, but don’t know where to begin? In this class, we will demonstrate all of the steps of building cabinets. We will begin with cabinet design, layout and installation. We’ll also cover box construction, face frame and basic door construction. You’ll see the process first hand and be able to have your questions answered by an experienced cabinetmaker!You’ll see us demonstrate different methods for making doors, and show quick and easy ways to make drawer boxes and how to install hinges and drawer slides.A raised panel door adds a touch of class to any cabinet. We'll take you a step further and show you how to make a standard raised panel door using matched rail and stile router bits. You'll calculate the part sizes and also learn how to set up the router bits properly. Back cutting will also be covered.There will be a 1 hour break for lunch.Safety Measures We’re Taking to Keep You SafeSocial Distancing - All of our classes have a low capacity of attendees and will allow for social distancing. Sanitization - Our classrooms, seating areas, and tools are cleaned and disinfected before and after every class. We also have hand sanitizer and disinfectant available to be used during all classes. Masks - Masks are only required to be worn if required by local ordinances. If you prefer to wear a mask, you can bring your own. If you forget to bring a mask we can provide one free of charge. Gloves - Gloves will be provided free of charge if any classes require tools to be shared by multiple attendees during the same class. This is not a common occurrence and most of the time, attendees are provided their own tools to use. FAQsWhere can I contact the organizer with any questions? [email protected] or call your local store. Are there any age requirements to participate in the class? This class is only for attendees, who are 18 years of age or older. To schedule a class for an attendee, who is under the age of 18, please contact your local store for details. Do I need any safety equipment or special clothing? Safety glasses will be provided free of charge. No loose clothing should be worn, long sleeves need to be rolled up, long hair needs to be tied back. No open-toed shoes can be worn during classes. Can I cancel if I can't make it? If you wish to cancel, you must do so 7 days before the class start date in order to be eligible for a refund. No refunds will be given for cancellations within 7 days of the class start date. Refunds will not include Eventbrite's fees.
