Observe and identify wildlife in Oxon Run Park for the global City Nature Challenge Join citizen scientists and area residents to explore beautiful Oxon Run Park for the City Nature Challenge! The City Nature Challenge is a global citizen science event that focuses on urban nature. We’ll be looking for wild plants, animals, and fungi that make their home in Oxon Run Park. Your observations on iNaturalist will help scientists document urban biodiversity, and help all of us understand more about Washington DC area wildlife. To prepare for participating, review the citynaturechallengedc.org website and sign up to use iNaturalist. Bring a cell phone camera or a digital camera and we’ll introduce you to the rest! This event is organized by Capital Nature and the DC Department of Parks and Recreation, in collaboration with Friends of Oxon Run.
