ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES • Reliable attendance and punctuality • Installation of lighting systems in accordance with plans • Speaking with the customer to up-sell other products or services • Provide customer with system orientation if possible • Proper care and operation of company vehicles • Inventory management and replenishment • Running and burying low voltage wiring in landscape areas and lawns • Mounting transformers and connecting wire runs • Installation and load-checking of low voltage transformers • Clean up of all areas affected by installation • Providing direction and/or assistance to other installers when applicable • Speaking with Clients to inform and educate them about additional products and services OTHER DUTIES MAY BE ASSIGNED TO MEET BUSINESS NEEDS • Assisting with home shows • Transporting marketing materials • Neighborhood marketing (hanging door tags), distributing flyers • Maintenance and organization of storage facility & Vehicles ESSENTIAL KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES & ATTRIBUTES • Has a driver’s license with clean driving record (no moving violations or accidents in the last three years) • Makes a good first impression by being well-groomed, articulate, personable, and comfortable with meeting new people • Enjoys interacting with customers with respect and integrity • Attention to detail and respect for our customers property • Systemic in their approach • Proactive problem solver • Strong sense of pride and integrity in work product • In-depth training and support by OLP will provide necessary knowledge of lighting products, installations, and repair techniques. • Ability to lift and carry up to forty pounds • Ability to use a trenching shovel for extended periods • Skill with hand tools such as drills, saws and screwdrivers • Ability to apply training to diagnosing and repairing lighting systems • Organized with attention to quality management • Personable and presentable; able to discuss, explain, and upsell clients • Above average technical ability • High finger, hand-arm, and manual dexterity WORK CONTEXT • Telephone used periodically to co-ordinate with supervisors and clients • Tools will be provided by company, but must be properly maintained • Work may be conducted by a team or a solitary installer • Work is conducted outdoors • Work requires standing for extended periods • Installations must conform to strict quality standards EDUCATION & REQUIREMENTS • High school diploma or GED • Must be 21 years of age or older • ***Selected candidates will undergo background check; Department of Motor Vehicle check and drug testing.
