**Please send resume to [email protected]** Marine Diesel Mechanic Summary Seeking to recruit someone that has prior experience as a marine diesel mechanic. Ideal candidate must have at least 1 year of experience. Knowledge of parts and equipment is a must. Valid Florida driver license will be needed. Company vehicle provided for field work. Responsibilities • Diagnose, service and repair marine engines. • Equipment Maintenance • Will train to perform preventative maintenance on equipment according to established guidelines and in accordance with time constraints. • Tool Maintenance • Performs daily inspections of tools and equipment used. • Ensures cleanliness of work area, tools, equipment and parts. • Assist with the record keeping of assigned projects on daily timesheets • Other duties assigned as needed and based on projects. Job Type Full-Time Qualifications: In order to be considered in this position, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Required Experience: Marine Diesel Mechanic – 1 year minimum Required License/Certification: Valid Driver License Background Check Language Skills: Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak both English and Spanish. Other Skills and Abilities Strong communication and time management skills. Ability to work under pressure. Physical Demands: While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl and talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to stand and climb or balance. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Work Environment: The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts; high, precarious places and outside weather conditions. The employee is frequently exposed to extreme heat and vibration. The employee is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles and risk of electrical shock.
