I have a 4 yr old Red Lore Amazon Parrot that I am looking to rehome due to time restrictions. I have picked up a lot of extra hours at work and do not have the time that she deserves. She was purchased from a lady in Lumberton that stated her mother was the original owner. She is just learning to speak and is very vocal. She does prefer females over males. She comes with her cage and toys. She is a great bird and loves to be the center of attention. We just do not have the time for her that we use to. My wife does handle her with a gardening glove to protect her hands as she is scared of her beak. If someone spends more time with her and she bonds with them, she would do amazing. We are looking for her new owners to have some experience with Amazons and understand this is not like owning a parakeet. Please send us a brief description of why you would make the best new parents for her. We are in no rush to move her to a new home, we want to make sure that her new parents are ready for this sweet girl! There is a rehoming fee involved with her as we want to make sure the new parents are serious about caring for her and her needs.
