Job Summary: The Driver and Equipment Maintenance Technician is responsible for the overall use and maintenance of the dump truck, 1 ton and ¾ ton diesel truck. They will also tow loaded trailers behind. They will pick up garbage from jobsites and take to the landfill. The driver will pick up materials from town and packages from the office and deliver to jobsites. They will also load and unload lumber and tools from various jobsites. This position will also be responsible for the tool and equipment maintenance. Essential Job Requirements: Job Qualifications: • Education: Minimum of High School Diploma or equivalent • Driving: Must have a current, valid Driver’s License. Should have a clean driving record for the last 3 years • Experience: Construction industry experience preferred • Experience: Must have prior experience with operating equipment such as all-terrain forklifts and skid steers and be able to load and transport equipment • Equivalent: A combination of technical training, education, and/or related experience will be considered in fulfilling the above requirements Preferred Skills and Abilities: • Safe Lifting: Use proper lifting techniques when moving lumber and other materials. Always ask for assistance when moving heavy items. • PPE: Wear personal protective gear such as ear protection, safety glasses, and gloves at all times on the job. • Safety Management: proven track record of maintaining safe work environment, including driving safely in adverse weather conditions. • Safety Management: Current OSHA 10 or 30 certification preferred. • Equipment: Must have a basic understanding of construction tools, equipment and materials and their uses. • Load Securing/Rigging: Must have knowledge in properly loading trailers and securing/strapping loads/equipment. Mission: Provide assistance to each jobsite and the Operations Manager through equipment maintenance and fueling, trash pick-up and other supportive services. Outcomes: 1) Jobsite equipment/tools and the dump, 1 ton and ¾ ton diesel trucks will be in good condition and up to company standards to fulfill safety and operational needs through regular maintenance and fueling. 2) Jobsites and trailers will have the needed supplies from the Driver picking up necessary items in Bozeman, Big Sky or at the main office by direction from the Operations Manager. 3) Jobsites will be clean, with at least weekly trash pickup and delivery to landfill. Roles and Responsibilities: 1. Driving, transporting equipment, loading/unloading dump truck, fueling equipment. 2. Maintain records and complete minor maintenance for equipment, tools, and trucks. 3. Perform variety of duties at jobsites to assist the field crew.
