Connect with other adoptive/guardianship families- Bring your adoptive/guardianship family aboard the East Troy Railroad Train! The East Troy Trains are historic rail cars that travel a 10-mile trip through beautiful Southeast Wisconsin. Enjoy the trek back in time on the train while looking at the scenic views on this 1.5 hour train ride. We will stop along the way at Indianhead park for a short break to give everyone a chance to enjoy a picnic lunch (bring your own) and everything the park has to offer. We will board the depot in East Troy promptly at 11am, which is connected to the depot museum where kids can be a trolley motorman, or discover the joy of model layouts and learn about electricity. So come early to check it out before boarding. The trip will last 1.5 hours and will be back at the depot around 1:30pm. Lauber's Old Fashioned Ice Cream Parlor is also conveniently located next to the depot, so be sure to grab some ice cream before or after the train ride. ​What you should know: This event is for adoptive/guardianship families only Bring a sack lunch for your family Parking is free Smoke-free trains run rain or shine You board at the East Troy Depot Public washrooms are available For more information about the East Troy Railroad Museum please visit their website: https://www.easttroyrr.org/ This event is free event for families up to 4 tickets. If you would like to get on a waiting list for any possible extra tickets after all reservations have been made please email Christy at [email protected]. It will be first come, first serve because of capacity limits. REMINDERS Please do NOT attend an event if you or anyone in your household is experiencing symptoms of COVID-19 (which include fever, cough, and shortness of breath), or have been exposed to others who have experienced those symptoms within the last 14 days. Social distancing of at least 6 feet will be required. Please bring a mask for each person in your party to be used anytime social distancing of at least 6 feet cannot be maintained.
