An exciting week of show choir performance rehearsals for students entering grades 4-9 led by directors and students at Lincoln East. Students will spend four days learning from faculty and students in the East High Vocal Music Department. Dependent on registration numbers, camp students will be placed in one of two or three divisions. Membership into the camp is limited to 40-50 students in each division's show choir. Whether this is your first thrill of show choir or an expansion of your skills as a performer in your own choir, this experience will help you become a more effective performer. Students will participate in an intensive week of rehearsals, learning choreographed routines, and preparing music for performance. 2021 CAMP SCHEDULEDaily Rehearsals Tuesday, May 25 - Friday, May 28 Morning Group(s): 9:00 a.m. - 12:00 noon Afternoon Group(s): 1:00 p.m. - 4:00 p.m. STUDENT TALENT SHOWCASEStudents will also have the opportunity to audition for a student talent showcase. The culminating activity will be a final performance on Friday, May 28th, 2021, presented before or in between the show choirs during Friday's performances. Students may audition to be part of the showcase. Any talent will be considered (singing, dancing, instrumental, etc.). Students are encouraged to bring any musical instruments, sheet music, CD's, or props necessary for their individual or group talent. Auditions will take place during the week and will be announced on Thursday, May 27th. FINAL PERFORMANCE & TALENT SHOWCASEThe culmination of a week's rehearsals to be shared with family and friends! Performances will be held in the East Auditorium. For the performance, students wear their camp shirt, jeans, and tennis shoes.
