CANTON, MA — Three suspects have been arrested in connection with a shooting that took place on Route 138 on February 21, reported WCVB 5.
According to Canton Police Chief Ken Berkowitz, the incident happened after one car forced another off the road and escalated when someone started firing a gun.
Berkowitz says Keith Resende, 31, of Brockton is accused of intentionally ramming a vehicle, which lead to a passenger of that vehicle to fire six shots at Resende's vehicle. Resende later abandoned his car a short distance away from the scene.
Shaquille Lee, 28, and Jessica Araujo, 30, both of Everett, were in the vehicle rammed by Resende's car, said Berkowitz. A search warrant executed after the arrest resulted in the recovery of two firearms, and extended magazine for a Glock Pistol, and Fentanyl.
Lee is facing charges including intent to murder, discharging a firearm within 500 feet of a dwelling, unlicensed possession of a firearm, assault and battery with a deadly weapon, and possession of ammunition.
Araujo faces charges including accessory after the fact of assault with intent to murder, accessory after the fact of assault and battery with a deadly weapon, and possession of a firearm.
The charges against Resende have not been released.
