MIDDLETOWN, CT — Appointments are no longer needed for coronavirus vaccines at all Community Health Center, Inc. locations in Connecticut, officials announced Monday.
As of Monday, all CHC vaccine locations, including its mass vaccination sites in Danbury, East Hartford, Middletown, and Stamford and pop-up community clinics, are now offering the COVID-19 vaccine without an appointment for Connecticut residents, seven days per week from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m.
CHC Founder/CEO Mark Masselli made the announcement during a "Student Skip Day" event to administer the first dose of the Pfizer vaccine to students from East Hartford High School and CREC Schools.
Masselli was joined by Gov. Ned Lamont, Lt. Gov. Susan Bysiewicz and U.S. Sen. Richard Blumenthal.
"This is an important moment for Connecticut," Masselli said. "We want to make it as easy as possible for anyone needing the vaccine to get it without any barriers. Just walk-in or drive-in to any CHC site and we will vaccinate you without delay."
