ARLINGTON, VA — Officer Stephen Capizzi of the Arlington County Police Department placed first in the Police Novice category over the weekend at the Northern Virginia (NOVA) Motorcycle Skills Training and Competition in Alexandria.
The competition, which took place April 22-25, in the parking lot next to the Eisenhower Metro Station, drew both law enforcement motor officers and civilian riders to train and compete.
Capizzi, who was just one of the riders from ACPD's Special Operations Section to compete in the event, finished among the Top Ten riders across all categories, according to a post on ACPD's official Twitter account.
All proceeds from the NOVA Motorcycle Skills Training and Competition will be donated to the Alexandria Police Youth Camp.
