Rapidly growing Landscape Design and Install company specializing in hardscaping, irrigation, and eco-friendly planting practices seeks a skilled Assistant Foreman to join our team. We are seeking an Assistant Foreman who is reliable, flexible, hard-working, proficient, efficient, and low drama/easy going. Working with us, you will work side-by-side with a small team to produce high quality, stone-heavy yard makeovers. While we do need someone who has experience in this field and can hit the ground running, we do like to promote an environment that encourages learning. We are open to some training for the right person who wants to grow with our company and assist in transforming yards into beautiful and amazing spaces that can be enjoyed for years to come! Assistant Foreman Must Haves: Knowledge of and Experience With: Hardscaping (flagstone/pavers/brick/tile; rock walls/staircases; DG/gravel; not much cement) Irrigation Plant installation (eco-conscious) General Construction Proficiency with small power tools Ability to take direction and work side by side with Head Foreman/Project Manager Managerial experience: Comfortable with giving directions to others/keeping things on task/taking the lead when needed Detail oriented/Proficient/Meticulous Self-motivated with a and strong work ethic Punctual, efficient, and good time management skills Transportation to job sites (in residential neighborhoods of Berkeley/Oakland/Albany) Good communication skills (excellent control of English language) Nice to Haves: Carpentry/other trades experience Tools/truck Eye for design/symmetry We offer Competitive pay Bonuses for jobs well done Paid lunch break Later working hours Room for growth Somewhat flexible schedule We are also kind and compassionate people to work for, and like to create a friendly vibe and positive team spirit!
