How my husband found a purpose and gives hope to countless others with his Art and amazing Spirit after Stroke in 2014 and had never painted prior to that. His mission is for others to enjoy his creations and be inspired to never give up. Gerhard Endress was born in 1939 in Sackingen, Germany. He started training as a watchmaker at the age of 14 and became a Master at his craft. In 2014 he suffered a stroke and lost the function of his left arm. Life as he knew it was completely changed. Hard work, physical therapy, patience, perserverance and renewed faith eventually set him on a new path. Never having held a paintbursh, palette knife or stick of charcoal, he enrolled in an art class and was soon producing inspired works of arts and crafts, developing a unique style coined "primitive" yet with perceptive depth and interpretation. His art brought fresh insights and released creative expression, giving Gerhard new purpose and joy in living. Come on Saturday, May 1st from 10am - 4pm and enjoy getting to know Gerhard and take an inspirational piece of art home to inspire you everyday.
