I am glad that was handled well. I agree that should be publicized as a good way to handle such scenarios. I hope you don't think the policeman who shot the girl with the knife was the same kind of scenario. *************** It was reported that a man with a knife stole a bicycle and threatened the owner with death if the theft was reported. Obviously this man is mentally imbalanced. He was tracked down to a house in Novato or points South, I am not sure. The house was surrounded by law enforcement a helicopter overhead and a police dog. Trained Personnel attempted to get him to surrender peacefully for almost 4 hours to no avail. Rather than a testosterone frenzied invasion cooler heads prevailed and everyone left except one law enforcement officer with Communications to report anything of significant difference. This is a great contrast to previous law enforcement over reactions that sickened the public. Now we have the opposite and it should be PUBLICIZED all across the nation! Then we can appreciate ethical cops who don't want to hurt others unnecessarily.
