MONTGOMERY COUNTY, PA — Montgomery County's progress on vaccine administration may have been slowed by the Johnson & Johnson pause, but providers did their best to move forward with administration using only the Pfizer vaccine. Case levels continued to rise over the past week, but a plateau could be nearing, according to experts. Variants of the virus are still everywhere, with 186 now confirmed in the county. Here are the latest vaccine updates from around Montgomery County: J&J doses to resume Wednesday National health policy leaders met again on Friday to discuss the J&J vaccine, and it has now been "unpaused" in Pennsylvania. Montgomery County had prepared for both outcomes: either a continuation of the pause, or resumption of administering doses.
