JOLIET, IL — A 33-year-old man from Chicago remains in the Will County Jail after being charged with a recent burglary to a Joliet church in the 400 block of Patterson Road on the city's east side.
The Will County Sheriff's Office arrested Kentrell Lorenzo Ray in connection with the April 7 crime. Ray has remained inside the Will County Jail unable to post his $50,000 bail. Will County prosecutors charged Ray with burglary and criminal damage to government-supported property.
Prosecutors say Ray entered the Total Life Christian Church on Patterson Road with the intent to commit a theft. The second charge states that Ray damaged the interview room walls after sheriff's deputies brought him back to the Will County Sheriff's Office building on Laraway Road to interview him in connection with the burglary offense.
Will County Jail records indicate Ray lives in the 1700 block of South Ashland Avenue.
