67 ETHS Students Among Top Illinois Student Scholars

EVANSTON, IL — Dozens of Evanston Township High School students were named among the top high school seniors in the state by the Illinois Student Assistance Commission as they graduate following a year of almost entirely remote instruction. For more than 60 years, the commission has been recognizing Illinois state scholars, a designation given to the top 10 percent of graduating seniors statewide. Scholars are chosen by a combination of standardized testing scores and class rank during the second semester of junior year, according to ISAC. "ISAC is pleased to recognize Illinois high school students who have been named 2021-22 State Scholars for their outstanding academic achievement," according to its website. "The 2021-22 designation applies to the year students will begin their postsecondary education."
