ELMHURST, IL — For the second week in a row, Elmhurst has seen a drop in its percentage hike in coronavirus cases, according to the DuPage County Health Department. As of Sunday, the city had 4,227 cases, an increase of 53 cases from the week before, or a 1.3 percent hike. The previous week, it was 1.8 percent. The number of those who have recovered is unavailable. As of Sunday, the number of coronavirus-related deaths in Elmhurst increased by one in the last week, to 66. The mortality rate among those locally with the coronavirus is 1.6 percent.
