ELMHURST, IL — An Elmhurst woman was arrested after a domestic disturbance Sunday, police said. Aarati Didwania, 50, of Elmhurst, was arrested about 3 p.m. in the 900 block of South Mitchell Avenue on a charge of domestic battery. police said. She is listed as a doctor specializing in internal medicine in the state's physician database. According to a police report, Didwania admitted she struck another person. She was taken to the police station, then to the DuPage County Jail. She has since been released. Didwania is a professor of medicine at Northwestern's Feinberg School of Medicine, according to the school's website.
