Saratoga Grove residents and staff recently received their second doses of the long- awaited COVID-19 vaccine. Walgreens administered vaccine clinics for both doses of the vaccine right at the senior living community, located at 3460 Saratoga Avenue in Downers Grove. Walgreens also admin istered the vaccine at Providence Healthcare & Rehabilitation Center, the skilled nursing community on campus, earlier this year. "We are thrilled for the opportunity to do our part to help end the pandemic," says Marya Jordan, Community Manager at Saratoga Grove Retirement & Assisted Living in Downers Grove. "We're happy to report that 98% of our residents and 89% of our staff are fully vaccinated as of April 16th." Saratoga Grove continues to adhere to guidance from the Centers for Disease Control (CDC), the State of Illinois, and DuPage County, but recently for the first time in over a year, they re-opened their dining room for communal dining. Visits with family and group activities have also resumed in a safe and approved manner. "We look forward to the active retirement everyone has been used to here as soon as it's safe," says Jordan.
