Hey Y’all! My Fiancée and I recently relocated to Ft. Myers and I am looking for a working band(s) in the Country Music Scene. If you need a New lead player, or just somebody who can fill in to prevent the loss or cancellation of gigs. Keep reading, this ad is for you!!! A little bit about me... My name is George, I am 27 years old, alcohol free(but have a drink for me!), laid back, but professional. I have over a decade of Club/Live music experience, I have been hardened and humbled, but far from jaded. I cut my teeth on Pop country. Luke Bryan, Aldean, all the other Backstreet Boys. But Outlaw country in any shape or form is my passion! I’m down to play anything when it comes to paying the bills, but if you put on Sturgill Simpson, you have my attention! My playing style is rooted in country music, but influenced by a lot of Southern Rock and Jam bands. I love playing slide(open and standard tunings) and usually switch between hybrid picking and using a bottle neck on the middle finger. I also can play Lap steel and some pedal steel. I wouldn’t call myself a pedal steel player yet, but I have been looking to expand and apply that as another tool in my tool box, depending on the situation. My ideal situation is a 4-5 piece band with a locked in rhythm section, frontman who can hold down auxiliary instruments on occasion, and another lead player who has a flavor all their own and loves playing guitar harmonies. But I’m down for anything and can hold down all the leads no problem, and making room for others (musically speaking) is also no issue. I am also very comfortable learning set lists and taking “fill in” gigs for bands that are in between finding someone permanent or if someone just needs to take a night or two off.
