Central coast based paving company is looking for truck drivers for day-to-day operations. Responsibilities: Conduct daily vehicle inspections and report any necessary maintenance needed for company truck. Load material at asphalt or aggregate plant and safely transport asphalt or aggregate from plants to job sites. Transport equipment to and from job sites. The position requires cleaning/washing vehicle and spraying down of trailers when needed in designated areas. Maintains a clean truck and practices good housekeeping on all truck equipment as well as in the plan. Must be able to work a flexible schedule with flexible hours, hours vary. Must be able to travel to various work locations based on work availability and customer demand. Overtime, weekend work, and nights may be required. Requirements/Qualifications: Must have a safe driving record (will have to provide DMV H-6 printout) Must have California Commercial Class A Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug and alcohol screening to be considered No more than two moving violations within the past 24 months No serious moving violations within the past 36 months Seeking candidates with a positive attitude, strong work ethic, and strong customer service skills Must adhere to all safety regulations including company policies, state and federal regulations Preferred: Experience in aggregate or heavy construction industries 2+ years of commercial driving experience Conditions of Employment Successful candidate must submit to post-offer pre-employment physical examination, drug/alcohol screen, and background check.
