Weidner Apartment Homes is hiring for an Apartment Maintenance Technician. The Maintenance Technician is responsible for the overall maintenance of the apartment units and building(s). The ideal candidate has a strong work ethic and a positive attitude. This person knows how to work with others at a fast pace and is flexible when unexpected situations arise. Responsibilities: • Assist in the preparation of apartments for occupancy Paint / drywall patching Residential maintenance (light plumbing, electrical, appliance troubleshooting, etc.) • Respond to service requests in occupied apartments • Perform general building maintenance duties (common areas, grounds, etc.) Qualifications: • Experience in apartment maintenance or related field preferred • Must know how to paint and do general maintenance • Strong verbal communication skills • All service personnel are also required to have a personal set of basic tools • Ability to lift and carry up to 80 pounds • Push/pull up to 200 pounds • Have a valid driver license and reliable transportation. • Participate in an afterhours Emergency Program 1x every 6 weeks. Other details • Pre-employment screening consists of a credit and criminal background and drug screening. • 40hrs per week, 9am – 6pm.
