Company Overview: Established in 2020, Local Underground is a fast-paced growing telecommunications and utility contractor that provides fiber and utility underground boring and trenching. We support network owners, engineers and consultants in the telecom and utility space. Job Summary: As a construction laborer you will perform general construction and maintenance work related to telecommunications. Under the direction of a crew lead, the main duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to: pour concrete, dig holes and trenches, install underground conduit and wiring, build and repair fencing, perform basic electrical and mechanical work and other field construction activities. This is a full-time position with a typical work schedule of Monday - Friday, 7:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. with overtime requirements. Expectations: Successfully complete formal and on-the-job training Operate hand and power tools with ease Operate trucks, trailers, and other equipment with ease Pick-up/Deliver supplies, tools, equipment, etc., via company vehicle (towing trailer if applicable) Ensures all tools and equipment are in good working order, maintained, and stored properly Maintain and submit accurate paperwork including but limited to: receipts, time card, log books, site photos Practice safe working procedures in compliance with OSHA regulations Minimum Qualifications: Valid Driver’s license. Class A CDL a plus. Ability to pass pre-employment and random drug and alcohol testing Must be able to work outdoors in all weather conditions Must be able to work weekends, as needed Must be able to travel (frequently out of state) and work away from home Monday through Friday (typical projects last one – two weeks). Company paid hotels, travel time, and per diem.
