BROWN LEDGE CAMP, Colchester, Vermont JOB POSTING Seasonal Position: June 10, 2021 - August 21, 2021 We are an all-girls camp (ages 9-17) heading into our 93rd summer! We’re on a mission to encourage young people to develop a sense of freedom and direction. We’re big on things like compassion, communication, and trust. We want everyone to feel comfortable being themselves, trying new things, and learning from their mistakes. Our staff is co-ed and multinational. The atmosphere is friendly, easygoing, welcoming, and active. Current Openings for Activity Staff: Tennis Theater Directors Riding Swimming Sailing and Windsurfing What we’re looking for: The most important characteristic of our activity staff team is that you love working with kids. After that, we look for expertise within one of our 18 activities, and a willingness to work with campers of all skill levels. If you can help us provide quality instruction and a safe, fun learning environment, let’s talk! What you’ll do: Each day you’ll work in your assigned activity department, take part in community meals, help out with evening duties, and participate in camp-wide events. At night, you’ll need to assist with the settling down of campers in the form of evening duties, but you won’t sleep in a camper cabin. Instead, you’ll share a living space with other staff members. During your activity work, you’ll need to: Maintain a fun (and safe!) learning environment Help campers determine their own learning goals and challenges Teach your activity to a range of age groups and skill levels Collaborate with your department staff to engage campers. Mentor the Junior Counselors in your department. Qualifications: 19 years of age, or completed first year of college Desire and ability to work with children outdoors Ability to respond appropriately to situations requiring first aid Apply today:
