Westwood Venture Residential Rental Property and Mini Storage is looking for a Maintenance Handyman for its apartment and mini storage complexes. This position is full time and available immediately. You must have your own reliable transportation and current auto insurance. You must be available by cell phone during work hours. Experience with painting, drywall, electrical and plumbing a plus. Must be comfortable climbing a ladder and working on two story rooftops. The Maintenance Technician job duties include but are not limited to: • Paint apartment interior and exterior walls • Wash down interior apartment walls and ceilings • Lay linoleum tile • Pull out carpeting and pads in apartments • Install or repair toilets, sinks, garbage disposals, dishwashers, etc. • Install or repair light switches, smoke detectors, thermostats, water heaters, etc. • Clean leaves, debris, moss, etc. from rooftops and gutters • Clean debris out of catch basins • Remove furniture, household items, trash, etc. left by tenants in apartments and mini storage units • Spray weeds on apartment and mini storage complex grounds • Grind and cut off locks at mini storage complexes Qualities of Ideal Applicant include but are not limited to: • Able to work independently or as part of a team • Honest, trustworthy, dedicated • Organized, quick learner, positive attitude • Able to complete tasks efficiently while following company procedures • Excellent communication and rapport with tenants, co-workers and supervisors • Neat handwriting; able to complete written paperwork • Observe condition of property in general and reports any unusual circumstances to managers • Clean and professional appearance If you feel you are a qualified applicant for this position, please pick up an application from the Main Street Mini Storage office located at 4300 Main Street in Springfield.
