BeachDogs LLC is seeking hardworking, organized, reliable, and self-motivated playroom attendants for our dog daycare location. Permanent, Part-time positions are available. Employees are expected to work at least one weekend a month. We are not looking for just seasonal employment. Email your resume to our store. Minimum Requirements:18 years of age or older. Able to interact in a positive way with all sizes and types of dog (if you are afraid of ANY breed, this is not the place for you as Dogtopia does not breed discriminate).Ready to take on heavy cleaning on a daily basis (Lots of dogs means lots of cleaning!) Must have the ability to work either one weekend day each week, or one full weekend a month. Able to work days, evenings and holidays. This is a dirty job and HARD work but is definitely rewarding. Looking mainly for 6-12:30pm and 1:45-8:30pm Monday - Friday Availability, with some weekend days. Please email us a complete resume. Responsibilities and Duties Supervision of Playrooms Maintains control of a large group of open play dogs in the playroom to ensure a safe environment. Continuously on their feet showing the dogs attention and care to ensure that they are maintaining a pack leader status in the room. Behavioral issues are addressed proactively in a timely and effective manner. This may include crating for time outs when necessary, but NEVER includes the use of physical force or punishment of a dog. We have a zero-tolerance policy for the mistreatment of animals, this includes but not limited to shoving, yelling, hitting or any treatment that could be misinterpreted as abuse. Aware of the environment and consistently attends to any special needs dogs including but not be limited to dogs that need to be crated when other dogs enter the playroom and dogs that cannot be together (AKA: CAD/Crate at Door Dogs or rotation). Cleaning Duties Playroom is continually monitored and kept free of messes by immediate and continual spot cleaning throughout the shift. Daily cleaning assignments which may include, but is not limited to sweeping, mopping, taking out the trash, refilling the water cooler, replacing water bowls, wiping down walls and play equipment, keeping drains clear of hair in the spa tubs, floor drains, and mop room drains etc. Cleaning procedures involve the proper use of chemicals to ensure a safe environment for both people and dogs. Daily and weekly cleaning assignments typically include moving and sanitizing crates as well as cleaning the walls, floors, vents, & play equipment with appropriate materials and solutions. Conscientious effort to help maintain a clean facility and help make every room look better than when you arrived. Informing Shift Leader of any broken crate, deterioration of facility, or anything that could be perceived as hazardous. Health and Grooming Demonstrated ability to bathe any size dog without direct supervision and to company standard. Proper procedures include the use of appropriate shampoo for the dog, appropriate use of bathing equipment, and the clean-up of the bathing area upon completion. Ability to clip dog toe nails or use of the Dremel individually or with the assistance of another team member. Assist with the distribution of meals, snacks, and record accordingly. Never feed a dog anything without the proper instruction from pet parents or shift leaders. Teamwork and Own Initiatives Ability to work cohesively with their team in a respectful and professional manner. Effectively communicates both orally and written. Utilizes company tools to communicate relevant information daily via the activity log and to their Shift Leader/Manager. Maintains a positive attitude and demeanor in all aspects of their position including room management and customer service. Maintains consistent time and attendance standards. Follows company dress code guidelines for professional and safe standards. Is on time for scheduled shifts and in the case of an emergency calls in advance of their shift to allow time for proper coverage. (At least 2 hours in advance). Takes their own development as a personal responsibility and uses mistakes or challenges as an opportunity to grow to a higher standard of performance. Adheres to Company Standards per Employee Handbook Physicality This job can be very physical at times. The physical demands of the job may include but is not limited to lifting 10-50lbs, bending, twisting, long periods of standing, leaning at bathtubs, awkward positions when bathing/grooming, a variety of cleaning, and the use of stairs.
