Looking for a General Maintenance/Mechanic with little or no experience. Some knowledge with diesel mechanic and chassis repair is a plus but not required. Willing to train the right candidate. Job Duties and Responsibilities: • Perform FHWA & BIT Inspections • Perform preventative maintenance inspections, oil changes, chassis lubrication and identifying worn and damaged parts. • Perform/assist in the diagnose, repair, and removal/replacement of major components including, but not limited to: tractors, trailers, chassis, electrical systems, hydraulic/air brake systems. • Complete written reports on jobs • Follow all established safety procedures • The candidate will not be limited to the above tasks and additional tasks may be assigned by his/her supervisor • Comply with all DOT and CHP regulations. • Adhere to safety and company policies. • Assist in the yard as needed (clean yard and dock, help loaders, run errands). Requirements: • Ability to pass pre-employment drug and alcohol screening • Must be able to lift and hold up to 50 pounds • Ability to work in non-climate controlled conditions required • Climbing, stepping, and reaching to ascend up and down the chassis or frame of a truck or trailer (approx.. 4-5feet) • Sitting, squatting, bending and kneeling, twisting of body and torso Benefits: • Paid overtime after 8 hours and paid double time after 12 hours • Paid holidays (7 major Holidays) + 1 paid floating holiday • Paid vacation & paid 40 hours sick time • Weekly Pay (every Thursday) • Benefits: Health & Life Insurance Plan, Aflac Supplemental Insurance, 401K Plan Contact Daisy Aguilar 562-595-7559 ext 221
