Job Description Duties and responsibilities Leadership Coordinates and motivates team members to reach and exceed daily quotas and goals Communicates daily orders and expectations Removes obstacles and issues that would prevent meeting expectations Attends daily supervisor meetings Trains Fill Line Team in paint filling procedures Leads by example (working position) Paint filling Assists Fill Line Team in paint filling processes Coordinates traffic paint and tote movement to ensure continuous filling of totes Creates labels Takes final samples to QA lab for final release testing Performs other duties as assigned Maintenance Actively pursues preventative maintenance on all equipment Performs and records calibrations on equipment, scales and gauges Quality & safety Inspects totes to ensure they are clean, undamaged and properly labeled to the standards of customer satisfaction Ensures totes are filled to the proper level with correct paint Uses extreme caution in driving forklift to ensure driver and bystander safety Ensures daily forklift inspections are completed Ensures equipment calibration checks Ensures that that all quality and safety procedures are being followed Qualifications Personal characteristics Must possess leadership qualities, motivating peers through positive example Must possess good communication skills Maintain positive attitude even in stressful environment Ability to meet deadlines and adapt quickly to change Ability to work both independently and in a team environment Ability to start projects and see them through to completion Quality oriented and safety conscious Must report to work on time and maintain good attendance Abilities Must be able to read and understand batch tickets, scales and gauges Must possess general basic math skills Must have legible handwriting Ability to follow written and verbal instructions Must be able to operate a forklift Must maintain excellent safe forklift driving record Ability to follow safety standards and operating procedures for all tools and equipment Ability to maintain a safe and clean work environment Certifications and experience Must possess Forklift Certification Leadership/Supervisory experience preferred but not required Working conditions Work environment Primarily covered or enclosed building with seasonal temperature variations Moderate noise, dust and fumes Works with and around chemicals of various hazard levels Work attire & PPE Personal or company shirt. Sturdy work pants or jeans. No shorts or cut offs. Coveralls, steel toed/static resistant safety boots, safety glasses, hearing protection, respirator and other required PPE provided by company Overtime and various working hours may be required depending on production schedule
