SERVPRO of Mesquite and SERVPRO of Kaufman County/Cedar Creek is hiring Water & Fire Damage Restoration Technicians. We are a 24/7 Emergency Fire & Water clean up restoration company. In addition to fire & water restoration we do mold remediation, biohazard clean up, carpet & duct cleanings, pack-outs, inventory, and moving. The ideal candidate will need to have customer service experience and be a team player. Bilingual is a plus. We like for our employees to have great attitudes and be a self motivator. Experience in the disaster restoration field, construction and have a supervisory background is a plus. Must have a valid DL, basic math skills, if needed be able to travel out of town. Background check is performed prior to employment. The primary responsibilities of a Technician are: -Prepare rooms/areas for work activities. -Participate in the restoration process for a property by extracting standing water and/or cleaning after a fire damage. -For projects involving mold or blood borne pathogen cleanup: putting on the proper personal protective equipment and then follow SERVPRO® production guidelines to remediate the mold or clean up the bloodborne pathogens. -Set up equipment for each project (air movers, dehumidifiers, etcetera). -Leave job site with a clean and orderly appearance. -Inventory and load the work vehicle with equipment, products, and supplies needed for each project. -Maintain a clean and organized vehicle and clean equipment appearance. -Perform production processes following SERVPRO® production guidelines per work order per crew chief directions. -Ensure clear two-way communication with crew chief and other technicians (especially regarding customer needs and concerns). -Perform end-of-day/end-of-job cleanup and breakdown. Position Requirements -Experience in cleaning/restoration preferred -High school diploma/GED -Ability to lift a minimum of 50 pounds regularly, occasionally up to 100 pounds with assistance -Ability to climb ladders, work at ceiling heights, work in tight spaces (e.g., crawl spaces, attics) -Ability to sit/stand/walk for prolonged periods of time -Ability to repetitively push/pull/lift/carry objects -Ability to work with/around cleaning products/chemicals -Ability to travel locally and out of state when necessary -Ability to be part of our on-call rotation (5PM-8AM) for emergency jobs -Ability to successfully complete a background check subject to applicable law Job Type: Full-time Pay: $13.00 - $20.00 per hour
