Personal assistant and Vegetarian cook / food prep help, 5-8 hours a week. Exact times vary, usually from around 12-2:30 or 3 pm, or 2:30-6 pm. Some other odd hours may also be available. Weekend hours available. I eat a dozen vegetables a day, so I need help cooking them all! Also need help with data entry, basic household chores, etc. Long-term, ongoing position available. Good job for people who like to cook, musicians, improvisors, artists, actors, writers, students, self-employed, etc., because your gigs come first, this job second. Schedule is flexible to fit your life (tours, shows, whatever) but you need to be excellent at communicating about it. Location is in Albany Park near Lawrence/Kedzie. 30 seconds from the Kedzie brown line el stop. Tasks mainly include: • preparing very simple recipes with vegetables (you don't have to have cooking experience) • washing dishes, cleaning up after cooking vegetables • light housecleaning • data entry • computer tasks • simple website maintenance (SquareSpace, easy to use, I can train you, no experience necessary) • other random stuff that forms the basis of contemporary life More hours available for: • errands (if you have a car) Location: 30 seconds off the brown line Kedzie stop in Albany Park (Leland / Kedzie) Non-smoking location (I'm allergic). Due to people going on tour, moving to Paris to study African guitar, becoming an organic farmer, etc., I often have openings, even if they're only temporary, so don't hesitate to call even if this posting is old. 3. Entry protocol: - handwashing - disinfecting phone with UV light (phones are a major vector of germs) - no shoes in the house (shoes can track viral particles into homes) - optional pulse oximeter reading I have limited outside contact (once a week chiropractor visit), but there are a few other assistants, so social distancing is moderate, not minimal. All assistants are 100% transparent about any potential exposures and quarantine if in doubt. One of the city's best COVID testing facilities is right up the street on Kedzie, so testing is frequent and easy. We can discuss further details during interview as well.
