Looking To Start Late 80's/90's/00's Cover Band

Description

As things start to get back to some form of normal, I think that bars will be looking for entertainment more and more to draw crowds back. I would like to build something that will last and that will start to run itself a bit as it grows. I am a drummer that was born in the 80's and I think that late 80's, 90's and early-mid 00's area is what a lot of people want to hear. I'm thinking 4 months to build up a song list and starting to play out as soon as we have 30-40 songs ready to go. Some bands to list would be: The Raconteurs Pixies Silversun Pickups Soul Coughing Modest Mouse Radiohead Wilco Spoon Pavement Flaming Lips Weezer Incubus Foo Fighters Alice in Chains Blur Nirvana Beck Muse Pearl Jam STP Cake Pumpkins Jane's Addiction Offspring Oasis Ben Folds Five This is just off of my current playlist, but open to anything that fits into Rock/Alt from that time period. I have a small space to rehearse near the Livonia area, but it would probably be better to rent a space for anything long term. No drama or hard drugs, please. Looking to run this like a fun business. Have some good contacts for venues and lots of industry contacts as well. I have good gear and transportation, lots of gigging and rehearsal experience and am fully vaccinated (I see that's a trend on posts here now?). Looking to build a 4 or 5-piece band (guitars, bass, keys and vocals) with the possibility for horns in some situations. Looking forward to putting something great together.
