Let's do this! Sign up to host or keep an eye out for the list of sales right here in Iowa City! What is a citywide garage sale? It's a chance for any Iowa City resident to hold a garage sale on the SAME day! This gives sellers AND shoppers the opportunity to get a large group of people out and about and make your sale or shopping super successful. Other local communities have been doing this for years so we are thrilled to start this in Iowa City. When is this event going to take place? MAY 29, 2021!!!! Where are these killer sales going to be located? A master list will be released the Wednesday before the event! I want to host a sale! What do I do next? Start collecting items for your sale and send an email by 5/21 to register. Be sure to include the following information: • Complete Address of the sale & your Elementary School- to organize the list by area of town to make this easy for shoppers. • Start and end time of sale (ex. 8am-2pm) • A brief description of items at your sale (20 words or less) Examples are clothing, shoes, toys, books, home decor, kitchen items, furniture, electronics, workout equipment. Be sure to include any details that may bring people to your sale such as clothing sizes, price points and quality of items. • Will you accept cash, venmo, paypal or other methods of payment?
