Career Strategies is now hiring multiple Painters for apartment community in Pittsburgh, PA. This position is set up to start immediately! MUST have experience using a roller and sprayer. We are looking for an individuals with significant painting experience that are also eager to learn. You will be doing a full spectrum of exterior and interior painting projects while being respectful of both Client and Company property. The ideal candidate will be a hard worker, have a great attitude, strong attention to detail, and good customer service skills. You must be a team player and a self starter, with the ability to lead and teach others. RESPONSIBILITIES: The Painter must cover surfaces with drop cloths or masking tape and paper to protect surfaces during painting. Fill cracks, holes, or joints with caulk, putty, plaster, or other fillers, using caulking guns or putty knives. Apply primers or sealers to prepare new surfaces, such as bare wood or metal, for finish coats. Apply paint, stain, varnish, enamel, or other finishes using brushes, spray guns, or rollers.* Calculate amounts of required materials and estimate costs, based on surface measurements or work orders. The Painter must read work orders or receive instructions from supervisor to determine work requirements. The Painter must remove fixtures such as door knobs or electric switch covers prior to painting. Wash and treat surfaces with oil, turpentine, mildew remover, or other preparations, and sand rough spots to ensure that finishes will adhere Requirements: Valid Drivers License Own Vehicle Must be authorized to work in the US.
