Lux Street Window Cleaning is in its 3rd year of operation. We are a small, family-owned company that is young, but old at the same time. We used to clean residentials under the name Urban Street Window Works but decided to split into two companies having one focus solely on commercial jobs while the other (us) focused solely on residential. we've technically been servicing our residential clients for about a decade. We are a tight-knit group with a family feel. It's important to us to create that culture so we can all enjoy what we do. Who We Are Looking For: Our goal is to bring light into the homes of Chicago. Obviously, we do this in a very literal sense by cleaning windows and allowing the sun to shine. We also want to provide the unique experience of a standard service implemented in an exceptional way. We’re looking for a person who possesses a glow and enjoys interacting with clients. We have the opportunity to brighten people's day from the moment that we step into their homes. Am I exhausting these puns yet? You can be transparent… The people who excel in this job tend to be mechanically minded (on a basic level) and thoughtfully intentional as they move about these homes. There is a lot of problem-solving as each job is different. Experience is not necessary but could be a big plus and come with a higher starting wage. The Work: This is a skill-based manual labor job. It involves the use of ladders, being on your feet most of the day, operating a water-fed pole system, using traditional window cleaning tools, and communicating clearly with your team. We operate from a van so a valid driver’s license is required. We will be working outside and inside which means that it can be hot or cold depending on what Chicago’s weather throws at us.
