I am a singer songwriter that has switched back and forth from guitar to the 5 string banjo for about 6 years now, as I write songs featuring both instruments. However I'm looking for an experienced banjo tutor to assist me in taking my playing to the next level and really just find more motivation to keep writing and playing - especially on the banjo. I'm not interested in "Scruggs style" or that flashy banjo playing but more of the rhythm and melody focused playing if that makes sense. I play in the traditional 2-finger, overhand (claw hammer), up-stroke, drop-thumb styles. I live in Banning and I have a vehicle so I am willing to drive when we meet.
