EXPERIENCED APPLICANTS IN MAINTENANCE STAFF ONLY APPLY PLEASE MAINTENANCE WORKER We are looking for a skilled Maintenance worker to perform upkeep tasks such as repairs. You will be responsible for applying basic fixes to equipment and building systems and ensure facilities are tidy and functional. Being reliable with a keen eye for detail is the first step to getting this job. The ideal candidate will have experience and solid technical knowledge. You must possess manual dexterity and physical stamina. Responsibilities Perform minor fixes such as repairing broken locks, filling gaps on walls, painting, drywall, hang doors, install faucets/sinks/toilets, repair ceiling damages, repair window panes, tiles, etc. Check control panels and electrical wiring to identify issues Do garden/yard upkeep by mowing lawn, collecting trash etc. Conduct maintenance tasks such as replacing light bulbs Inspect and troubleshoot equipment and systems (e.g. ventilation) Check functionality of safety systems (e.g. fire alarm) Collaborate with workers and other professionals during renovations Report to a facilities or maintenance manager & property manager for issues Skills Proven experience as assistant or maintenance supervisor (3+yrs) BASIC KNOWLEDGE OF HVAC, PLUMBING, ELECTRICAL Experience using hand and electrical tools Very good communication and interpersonal skills Physical stamina and dexterity High school diploma or equivalent Successful completion of an apprenticeship & certifications is a plus PORTER We are looking for a Porter to take care of our building and carry out cleaning, maintenance. The goal is to keep our building in a clean and orderly condition. The proper candidate will be able to work as a team with other maintenance staff & alone & have the ability to work on a schedule to accomplish the goals of each work day & week. This position covers a complex of commercial buildings where the work includes, stairwells, elevators, parking lots, loading docks, garden upkeep, sidewalks, windows etc. The ideal candidate will have experience in both indoor & outdoor facility upkeep. Responsibilities Carry out heavy cleansing tasks and special projects inside. Outdoors sweeping/blowing sidewalks, power washing/hosing sidewalks & loading docks, sweeping/blowing parking lots, graffiti removal, windows, garden/plant upkeep, mowing/weed removal, snow shoveling/plowing, dumpster & trash removal etc Painting for exterior or interior when needed Notify management of occurring deficiencies or needs for repairs Stock and maintain supply rooms, keep organized all supplies & tools & in good working condition Cooperate with the rest of the staff Follow all health and safety regulations Skills Proven working experience as a porter 3 yrs in commercial or outdoor environment Ability to handle heavy equipment and machinery(blowers, weed trimmers, power washers, hedge trimmers, chain saw, drills, hand saws, snow blowers etc) Knowledge of cleaning chemicals and supplies Familiarity with Material Safety Data Sheets Integrity and ability to work independently High school degree, proficient in English ENTRY GATE GUARD We are looking for a person as part of the building maintenance staff to fill the position of Gate Guard. This position will be posted at the entry gate to the loading & courtyard. You will be responsible for helping delivery trucks enter & lead to correct building for deliveries. Direct visitors to the property. Deal with delivery of UPS, FEDEX, AMAZON etc packages for tenants. Upkeep of courtyard area such as sweeping, hosing, flower pots, yard furniture, bikes, mailroom etc. Security of property are all part of this position. Being reliable with a keen eye for detail is the first step in getting this job. --Experience with security/parking/warehouse/porter will help secure this position (2+ years) Salaries for each position Commensurate with experience Positions begin at $16 through $22 Applicants must speak English & be legal to work in the United States Shifts are 9 hours with 1 hr for lunch (or 1/2 + 15 + 15) 3 sick days & 3 personal days paid each year 2 weeks (10 days) paid vacation Please submit a resume, 3 references from past employers & any other pertinent info such as certifications etc
