BOSTON — Boston police arrested a Fall River man Thursday who they said harassed and headbutted employees at a Seaport Restaurant before fleeing and being caught with two garbage bags full of marijuana. Jason Wages, 29, of Fall River was charged with possession with the intent to distribute marijuana, two counts of assault and battery and two counts of leaving the scene of property damage. Around 6:20 p.m. Thursday, Boston police were called to a Seaport restaurant for a fight. Witnesses told them that Wages began harassing female waitstaff and customers while he was dining with three others, police said. According to the police narrative, when staff confronted Wages, he head-butted one employee and called him a racial slur, head-butted a second employee, spit on a third, then left the restaurant. On his way out, Wages threatened to shoot "everyone in the place," police said. Witnesses told police that Wages took his keys from the valet and fled the scene, hitting another vehicle. Police were directed by a witness to a crash at 316 Northern Avenue, where they found an unoccupied vehicle that had hit a building and damaged a gas line. Another witness approached the police and said two men were seen fleeing on foot with garbage bags, police said. Police found Wages at 22 Drydock Avenue; another man was found in the parking garage at 12 Drydock Avenue. Police found "two large garbage bags containing 53 large heat-sealed bags of marijuana as well as $8,600," they said. He was expected to be arraigned in South Boston District Court as of Thursday. Police questioned the other man and let him go.
